November 2025 - Dr. Guobao Wang wins IEEE Medical Imaging Technical Achievement Award

Congratulations to Guobao Wang on receiving the IEEE Freek J. Beekman Medical Imaging Technical Achievement Award at this year's IEEE NSS/MIC/RTSD conference! This award is given annually (previously only in in even-numbered years)to a mid-career individual in recognition of significant and innovative technical contributions to the field of medical imaging science. The award, consisting of $2,000, a certificate, and a plaque, is open to all active members of the medical imaging community and is presented at the IEEE Medical Imaging Conference. This year, this annual meeting took place in Yokohama, Japan, in November. 

Dr. Wang was honored for his contributions to advanced image reconstruction and translational kinetic modeling. We are happy that his innovative work for PET imaging has been recognized!
