Yasser Abdelhafez

Dr. Yasser Abdelhafez is an Academic Researcher at the EXPLORER Molecular Imaging Center, University of California Davis. He holds an MD, PhD, and is a Fellow of the European Board of Nuclear Medicine (FEBNM). His expertise lies in nuclear medicine, with over 15 years of clinical and research experience. Dr. Abdelhafez specializes in PET/CT imaging, molecular imaging biomarkers in oncology, and quantitative medical image analysis. He has co-authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications and has been an active contributor to international nuclear medicine conferences. His research focuses on the development of novel imaging biomarkers for oncology and inflammatory diseases using advanced imaging technologies. Dr. Abdelhafez has also been instrumental in implementing EXPLORER Total-Body PET/CT technology at UC Davis, contributing to its clinical and research applications.
