Bio

Shivani has completed her PhD in Biophysics at Jagiellonian University, Kraków, Poland, where she focused on developing a detector system for breast cancer detection. Her thesis, involved designing and constructing a specialized Jagiellonian Positron Emission Mammography detector system optimized for breast imaging, with advancements in detector materials, plastic scintillators, and wavelength shifters.

Currently a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Radiology at UC Davis, Shivani focuses on total-body kinetic modeling of myocardial infarction.

Research interests:

  1. Detector Development: Advancing the design and functionality of detectors for improved imaging performance.
  2. Medical Imaging Technologies: Exploring new materials and methods to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of imaging systems.
