I am a first-year PhD student in Biomedical Engineering with a foundational training in Physics as an undergrad and master's student. My prior work has focused on Monte Carlo modelling of radiation detection systems. I have also been involved in generating Look-Up Tables for scintillation crystals with varying geometries and configurations compatible with OPENGATE. At EMIC, my research is focusing on the assessment of spatial resolution using a novel phantom design tailored to the characteristics of long axial field-of-view (LAFOV) PET scanners.
